IAPR Technical Committee TC5: Computer Vision for Underwater Environmental Monitoring (CVUEM)
What is CVUEM ABOUT?
CVUEM (Computer Vision for Underwater Monitoring) a Technical Committee affiliated with IAPR (International Association for Pattern Recognition) and focuses on the development of computer vision and image processing techniques for applications in environmental underwater monitoring. Environmental monitoring encompasses a wide range of activities and tasks, such as:
habitat mapping
species identification
estimation of species diversity and abundance
analysis of animal behaviour
CVUEM runs the Computer Vision for Analysis of Underwater Imagery (CVAUI) IAPR workshop series and is also closely involved in other workshops such as the Marine Imaging Workshop (MIW).
We encourage all interested people to join and participate to our newly created Linkedin Group!
